Nate Robinson to Miss 4-6 Weeks Following Knee Surgery

Lil’ Nate went under the knife to fix his ailing right knee, and he’ll be out of action for quite a bit of time. The Oklahoman reports: “Newly acquired Thunder guard Nate Robinson underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound guard out of Washington first experienced discomfort in the knee following Monday’s practice. Robinson and the team made the decision to proactively address the situation. ‘After consulting with our medical team, we have decided this is the best course of action to resolve the issue with certainty, and have Nate back on the court as we enter into the final stages of the season,’ Thunder general manager Sam Presti said in a statement. Robinson made his Thunder debut Wednesday night against Indiana, scoring six points and grabbing one rebound in eight minutes. Playing time was expected to be limited for Robinson, who was behind starters Russell Westbrook and Thabo Sefolosha, plus reserves James Harden, Eric Maynor and Daequan Cook at the guard position.”
