Paul George Cleared To Play For Game 3

Paul George has been cleared by the NBA’s Director of Concussion management, and he will play in Game 3 on Saturday.

George participated in the Pacers morning shootaround and will not be on a minutes restriction. From the Indy Star:

Indiana Pacers All-Star forward Paul George will play in Saturday’s Game 3 vs. the Miami Heat barring unforeseen complications, according to a statement released by the team.

George suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of Game 2 but has been symptom-free after undergoing the NBA’s Return-to-Participation Exertion Protocol over the past three days. In consultation with Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher, the NBA’s director of concussion management, the Pacers medical staff cleared George on Friday to “return to normal basketball activity,” according to the release.

The extra time off between George’s injury in the third quarter of Game 2 and his impending return will be the fastest recovery from a concussion this season.
