Report: Atlanta Hawks to Sign Thabo Sefolosha to 3-Year $12 Million Contract

According to RealGM, free agent guard Thabo Sefolosha will ink a three-year, $12 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks. The contract is said to be fully guaranteed, with no options on either side:

Sefolosha, 30, had a run of five-plus seasons as the starting shooting guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and he helped established a defensive identity along with Kendrick Perkins within a young roster. Sefolosha averaged 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds a season ago. He was removed as the starter late in the postseason due to a lack of accuracy on his jump shot.

Several teams made inquiries to Sefolosha inside the first three days of free agency, including interest from the Miami Heat on Wednesday. Sefolosha held meetings in Washington with the front offices of the Toronto Raptors and Washington Wizards over the past two days.

Sefolosha has averages of 6.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in his eight-year NBA career.
