Let’s just say that Stan Van Gundy hasn’t enjoyed coaching Josh Smith and Brandon Jennings a whole lot this season. A shocking development, we realize.
Smith was told over the summer that he wasn’t being shopped, while Jennings has balked some at his role with the Detroit Pistons.
Both guys are being dangled in trade talks, according to reports.
Per Bleacher Report:
New Pistons president Stan Van Gundy needs to trade one or both of these guys if he wants to preserve the sanity of new Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy.
Both are firmly on the block, per rival executives.
It won’t be easy for SVG to unload his two headaches, however:
Folks asking about Smith trade prospects. Would say not good currently. Think teams would want a first-rounder to TAKE Smith.
