Report: Knicks to Sign Baron Davis

With the signing of Tyson Chandler, the Knicks assembled one of the strongest frontcourts in the NBA, but the movement left their backcourt looking a little thin. That might still be the case, but the situation is at least a bit better now, as ESPN is reporting that New York has signed previously amnestied point guard Baron Davis: “Baron Davis has committed to sign with the New York Knicks, according to sources close to the situation. The deal could be formally completed as soon as Sunday, sources said. Davis cleared waivers Friday after he was released through the amnesty clause in the new labor agreement by the Cleveland Cavaliers.”
