Rick Carlisle Re-Signed With Dallas Mavericks for 4 Years

The Dallas Mavericks re-upped with head coach Rick Carlisle for four more seasons. Reports the Star-Telegram: “Rick Carlisle’s new contract with the Dallas Mavericks is complete. Carlisle’s contract was slated to expire on July 1, but all along the Mavericks said he wasn’t going anywhere. Last year Carlisle earned $4.5 million, and his new deal covers four years. But it is not known whether he will earn the same amount of money as Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers, who, at $7 million this year, is the league’s highest paid coach. In his four seasons with the Mavericks, Carlisle produced a 198-114 record for a 63.5 winning percentage. Dallas also posted a 23-18 playoff record under Carlisle and captured the franchise’s only NBA championship last year.”
