Russell Westbrook underwent surgery Saturday morning on his broken right hand, the Thunder announced today.

Westbrook will be re-evaluated in four weeks, at which time a further update will be provided.

Westbrook fractured the second metacarpal in his right hand Thursday night in Los Angeles. The injury occurred midway through the second quarter of the Thunder’s loss against the Clippers. Westbrook removed himself from the game and did not return but did watch the majority of the second half from the bench with his right hand wrapped.

A four-week recovery time will keep Westbrook sidelined through Nov. 29 and force him to miss 15 games. The earliest he could rejoin the lineup would be Dec. 2 at New Orleans.
