Samuel L. Jackson to Introduce the Players During Clippers/Hornets Game

The Hornets are making a habit of having movie celebrities do the player intros at their games. Tomorrow night, Samuel L. Jackson will follow in Will Ferrel’s footsteps, reports the Times-Picayune: “The New Orleans Hornets are expected to get a little extra star power in their home game Thursday night (March 22), but from an unlikely source: Samuel L. Jackson. The Oscar-nominated actor, in town to shoot Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Django Unchained,’ is scheduled to introduce the team before it takes the court against the Los Angeles Clippers, a game that will mark the return of former Hornets star Chris Paul to The Hive. It’s not the first time this season that the Hornets have enlisted an A-list actor to do the duties. Actor Will Ferrell — who was in town earlier this year shooting the political comedy ‘The Campaign’ (previously ‘Dog Fight’) — introduced the teams before the Hornets’ Feb. 8 home game against the Chicago Bulls.”
