NBA legend Scottie Pippen will make his acting debut next month, playing a small part in the stage production of “A Christmas Carol.” Reports the Chicago Tribune: “Scottie Pippen will make his Goodman Theatre debut on Dec. 14. Alas, it won’t be in the musical ‘Pippin.’ Instead he’ll have a small role in ‘A Christmas Carol.’ The former Chicago Bull will appear with La’Ren Kimble, a 7-year-old beneficiary of the Illinois Make-A-Wish program, which helps children battling life-threatening medical conditions. ‘I’m excited to step on a different stage of sorts, and look forward to being part of what has been a Chicago holiday tradition for so many years,’ Pippen said. ‘But what’s most important for me is being able to work alongside my co-star, La’Ren, and Make-A-Wish Illinois. I hear La’Ren is an aspiring actress, and I’ll do my best to make her and the cast of ‘A Christmas Carol’ proud.'”
