Source: LaMarcus Aldridge Not Going Overseas

Portland Trail Blazers’ forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not go overseas and will remain in the states if the NBA lockout resumes, sources told SLAMOnline.

Aldridge spoke with the Oregonian last month and said playing overseas was a possibility. That stance has now changed, as CBA negotiations took a turn for the worst yesterday and both sides walked away without a deal in place—a shock, as most thought things were moving in a positive direction in prior meetings.

“The timing of this is just bad right now as most European teams are going into the season with what they have now. They’re keeping LaMarcus in the states and he’ll stay in shape in case things are resolved with the NBA,” a source said.

This is good news for Blazers’ fans as they won’t have to worry about their star player suffering an injury playing somewhere else.
