Stephen Curry Promises to ‘Chuck’ if Close to 400 Three-Pointers

The Golden State Warriors continue to pretend that they’re not obsessing over the 73-win mark, but there is one other historic number that’s in play and that Stephen Curry is very much gunning for.

The reigning MVP needs to hit 22 three-pointers over the remaining five games to reach an unfathomable 400 for the season.

Curry says expect him to start chucking up shots if he gets very close to four-hundred treys.

Per the East Bay Times:

“I promise you if I get to 399 and I know it, I will chuck,” Curry said. “That’s the only thing I can guarantee.”

“When I set the record two years ago, I was way behind pace the last five games,” he said. “I knew it at that point, but I think I had two games where I hit 10 and 9 or something like that. It just happens. I’m not in the game pressing to have a game like that. You want to shoot well, be aggressive and be ready for that night good things happen. That’s the only way I can approach that number.

“It doesn’t really mean anything in the grand scheme of things and it’s not my priority,” he said. But if I have a couple more good games and shoot the ball well, maybe it happens. If it doesn’t, I’ll still be very satisfied with the way I shot the ball in the regular season.”
