Stephen Curry ‘Wasn’t Very Impressed’ By Kristaps Porzingis Hitting Tunnel Shot

Prior to dropping 34 points in a win Wednesday night against the visiting New York Knicks, Stephen Curry was asked about Kristaps Porzingis swagger-jacking him by splashing in a bomb from the tunnel leading to the court.

Steph joked that he wasn’t impressed by the rook’s long-distance feat.

Porzingis, who finished with just two points in the 121-85 loss, bragged that he made it on just his first attempt.

Per the NY Post:

While in slippers as he sat out practice with remnants of a stomach ailment, Porzingis (was filmed) draining a heave from the tunnel that leads to the locker room – a circus shot Curry has made famous. […] “I wasn’t very impressed only because he’s 7-foot-3,” Curry said at Wednesday’s morning shootaround before the Knicks faced the 60-6 Warriors. “He’s got a longer wingspan. So my shots are always farther from where the release point is.”

Porzingis said Wednesday he made it on his first attempt. […] “That’s impressive,” Curry said. “That’s pretty good.”

“I was like, ‘Give me one shot,” Porzingis said. “I made the first one and just walked away. I had no doubt in my mind I was going to make it.” […] “He’s got all the attributes you’d want in his game,” Curry said. “From what I’ve seen, he has developed nicely over the year, seems more comfortable and more aggressive, figuring out their system. He presents a problem with his height and presence on the floor, so you got to try to make him work as much as you can early, not let him get position or where he wants to go and make him uncomfortable.”
