Eric Bledsoe is a restricted free agent this summer, so he can sign an offer sheet with another team and then give the Suns a chance to match it and retain him. Phoenix is hoping it doesn’t get to that point. From AZCentral.com:
The Suns hope to negotiate a deal with restricted free-agent Eric Bledsoe in the first few days of July.
‘We’ll try to do that as soon as possible and not let it get to the point where you’d have to get an offer and we’d match it,’ Suns General Manager Ryan McDonough said.
