The Milwaukee Bucks Have a Re-Designed Court

It’s been a busy month for the Milwaukee Bucks’ marketing folks: they recently introduced new uniforms, and now a snazzy new court design has been unveiled.

The team’s famous cri de guerre, “Fear the Deer”, is prominently displayed on their hardwood.

From the press release:

Primary Logo – The Bucks primary logo takes center stage as the most prominent element of the new court design. The new, imposing deer figuratively represents the beginning of a new era of Bucks basketball as well as literally marking the starting point for each game played at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. […] Mecca Ms – The tonal Ms that returned to the Bucks floor in 2013 as an homage to the Court That Made Milwaukee Famous are again represented, this time with subtler wood tones that link the court to the past while helping to maintain the crisp aesthetic style consistent with the new brand.

Blue Border – As an additional tip of the cap to the historic MECCA floor, a one foot wide Great Lakes Blue border surrounds the playing surface. […] Wisconsin Logo – The new Bucks tertiary logo, an adaptation of the state of Wisconsin, is featured on the baselines, along with MILWAUKEE written in the proprietary MV Varsity Block font, to reinforce that the Bucks are Wisconsin’s NBA team and proudly put both our home city and state on display for a global audience.

Fear the Deer – “Fear the Deer” appears at center court on the near sideline, serving as a rallying cry for players and fans alike while reminding opponents that the new Bucks are not to be taken lightly.
