Video: LeBron James ‘Very Optimistic’ of NBA Season

In the midst of all the negativity and pessimism regarding the NBA lockout, LeBron James, who hasn’t said much – if anything at all – about the lockout, sat down with the Associated Press yesterday while at a charity event in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. The seven-time NBA All-Star said that he is so optimistic about a 2011-12 NBA season that he is currently not even considering offers to play overseas. “I’m optimistic that we will have a season this year. Very optimistic,” said James. He also mentioned that he’s been in Houston this summer working with NBA great Hakeem Olajuwon. In what could be considered his first real interview with the media this offseason, James gives the basketball world much needed enthusiasm.
