Warriors Want a Veteran Coach?

Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury-News reports that Golden State might be after “veteran” assistants in Dallas and Boston: “All is relatively quiet on the Warriors’ coaching front — no indication of any imminent interviews and certainly nothing close to a final candidate list. NBA sources indicate the Warriors are drawing up a large candidate pool and are telling people they are putting a priority on a ‘veteran.’ That might put a focus on Boston assistant Lawrence Frank and Dallas assistant Dwane Casey, who have both had head-coaching experience. That also might explain the mini-delay: Both Frank and Casey are busy in the playoffs right now. (And so is Lakers assistant Brian Shaw.)”
