WATCH: D’Angelo Russell Drops 32 Against the Nets

D’Angelo Russell’s rough rookie year seems more and more like an aberration with each passing game. The Lakers now sit at 7-5 after last night’s win against the Nets and in the game, Russell dropped 32 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in 31 minutes. The 32 points was the highest-scoring output for any single Laker this season.

“Every shot felt like I was hot,” Russell told The OC Register after the game. “Teammates kept finding me.”

Head coach Luke Walton praised his point guard’s play on the other side of the floor, ““He was active on defense That’s what I was most impressed and happy with,” he said. “It feels like every time he has one of these big games, he starts the game making plays for us on the defensive end.”
