In 2011, Ballislife introduced and brought to life its All-American game in a matter of weeks with the sole objective to provide a platform for West Coast players that were not selected for other All-American games. The close of a high school career is a moment to cherish, and it’s the staple of one’s career to be chosen to participate in such a game. In 2011, there was a lack of presence of West Coast players in the McDonald’s and Jordan Brand games and over what was only mere chatter, one of the founders of Ballislife jokingly suggested to having their own All-American event featuring the uncalled soldiers. That suggestion quickly turned into an idea. Why not? The idea has been the stem of Ballislife’s vision over the past few years. Fast forward three years later and this weekend will be the 3rd Ballislife All-American game.

No vision is ever done alone. This year the event’s sponsors include: Muscle Milk, adidas and XXL to name a few.

The event will be held Saturday, May 4, at Long Beach City College. Doors open at 4 p.m.

The showcase begins with a 3-point contest and dunk contest judged by surprise guests. West Coast artist Problem will be performing before the game, which tips at 6:30 p.m.

If you’re in the area, definitely come out and support.

It’s more than just basketball. It’s life.

The BallisLife All-American game will take place May 4 at Long Beach Citty College. Price: $10. For more information and updates, visit ballislifeallamerican.com and follow them on Twitter @BallisLife.
