Gonzaga Climbs to No. 2 in AP, Coaches Polls

After the Virginia Cavaliers fell to Duke on Saturday night, it was guaranteed that there was going to be a ton of movement in this week’s edition of the AP and Coaches polls. Understandably, the undefeated Kentucky Wildcats are still the best team in America in both polls, as they have been all year.

With the Cavaliers losing, the new No. 2 team in both polls is the Gonzaga Bulldogs, which has accrued a 22-1 record this season. Virginia fell to No. 3 in both polls, and there is a disagreement about fourth and fifth best squads in the country—the AP says it is Duke then Wisconsin, while the Coaches Poll has those two teams flipped.
