Middle Tennessee State Takes Down Michigan State in NCAA Tournament First Round

Today featured, quite possibly, the biggest upset in NCAA Tournament history. Fifteen seed Middle Tennessee State took down Michigan State in the round of 64, 90-81.

MTSU went wire-to-wire, as the Spartans—considered by many to be one of the favorites in the Tournament this year—never led in the game.

Reggie Upshaw led the way for the Blue Raiders with 21 points, while Giddy Potts had 19 and a pair of players (Darnell Harris and Perrin Buford) both had 15. As for the slick up-and-under at the top of this post, that was by senior guard Jaqwan Raymond. With the win, MTSU will move on to play Syracuse in the round of 32 on Sunday.
