One of the most plesant surprises in college basketball has been the play of the Stanford Cardinal. Johnny Dawkins’ squad is 14-5 and sitting at third place in the Pac-12 with a 5-2 conference record. Tonight, the squad will get one of its primary contributors back when it takes on conference foe Washington, as freshman forward Reid Travis will return to the court for the first time since December 29 after suffering a stress fracture in his leg.
According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, the freshman—who is second on the team in steals, third in rebounding and fifth in scoring—started practicing again earlier this week.

Stanford freshman Reid Travis will return to action Wednesday night at Washington, coach Johnny Dawkins said.
The 6-foot-9 power forward returned to practice Monday, but has not played since Dec. 29 because of a stress fracture.
A Top-30 recruit, Travis averaged 7.5 points and 6.9 rebounds. Stanford is currently 14-5. 5-2 Pac-12.
