Seagers headed to the Big East

By Antonio Curro – Midwest PUNKS Editor

A flurry of commitments continued on Tuesday and this time it was 2011 PG Jerome Seagers of Flora McDonald Academy (NC) who came off the board as the 2011 lead guard verbally committed to Rutgers.  Seagers took off at the 2010 Swish & Dish Spring Warm-Up this past April where he helped lead his grassroots travel team to a final four finish and the skilled perimeter talent never looked back as he turned in a number of excellent performances throughout the spring and summer.  This is an excellent grab for Rutgers as Seagers has the skill, athleticism, and instincts to come in and make an impact in the Big East.

Seagers played with the D.C. Assault during the grassroots travel season.
