Terrence Jones Jordan Brand Classic Diary

While he spent the week in New York City for the Jordan Brand Classic, Terrence Jones shared his experience with SLAMonline! Here’s his final thoughts, delivered straight from Madison Square Garden minutes after the game ended late Saturday night. What’s up, SLAM?tjonesdiary3

Today was the big day and I was excited as soon as I woke up. It has been a big honor to be a part of all the events that lead up to the game.

Playing here in Madison Square Garden was unreal. I knew it would be fun but the energy out there was crazy. This being my first time here and playing so well I’m hoping it won’t be my last. I knew the game was going to be pretty competitive. We came out early with a big lead but the East was able to make it a close one in the end. I’m happy I was able to play well and help get the West a win. This is my 2nd All-Star game and I came out on top in both so that’s a great feeling to close out my high school career.

There’s going to be a lot of people wondering when I’m going to make my college choice now that Josh Selby [Kansas] and Doron Lamb [Kentucky] announced their decisions during the game. I’m still going to take my time on my choice and choose the school that is right for me. I know there will be some pressure on me but I’m not worried about that. It’s an important choice and I want to make sure I make the right one.

It has been a great week of events and I enjoyed being around all these other great high school players. Getting to play the game in Madison Square Garden was everything and more. Once again it was an honor playing in The Jordan Brand Classic.

I want to thank you SLAM readers for keeping up with me these last few days.
