Update #1, Mar. 7: LiAngelo Ball will sign a G League contract with the OKC Blue, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

LiAngelo Ball is expected to sign a G League offer soon, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. The 21-year-old’s varied basketball career has been well documented but it hasn’t included a stint in the NBA or G League to this point.

Ball has been practicing with the Oklahoma City Blue, the affiliate program of the Thunder. If he signs a G League deal, he’d remain eligible to eventually join an NBA squad but the Thunder or any other big league squad wouldn’t hold any formal rights to him.

Ball is the middle brother between Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball and lottery prospect LaMelo Ball. He played college basketball at UCLA and professionally in Lithuania.

Ball worked out with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018 and has practiced with the Oklahoma City Blue since December of 2019.
