Dan Gilbert Customized a Pair of the Nike Air Zoom Generation (KICKS)

When you’re swimming in the bread and have pride for your hometown and the place you do business and you have access to a brand new pair of sneakers that haven’t been in production since 2004 and you have connections to the best custom sneaker makers in the Midwest and you want to spend that money on those rare sneakers and show off the places that are closest to you, follow in Dan Gilbert’s footsteps. If he ever puts on his custom Nike Air Zoom Generations.

The owner of the Cavs—himself a son of Detroit—enlisted the services of fellow Motor City native El Cappy and Cleveland’s own JBF Customs, to help him get a one-of-one pair. Each designer got one of the sneakers to work with. El Cappy went with a map of downtown Detroit, while JBF incorporated Cavs jerseys and an official NBA basketball.
