OSD Announces the Return of SOLEcial Studies Class (KICKS)

From our friends at Obsessive Sneaker Disorder:

After a long hiatus, OSD is pleased to announce the return of their SOLEcial Studies class, an acclaimed footwear industry training program. The class was previously taught at the Parsons New School of Design in New York, and the University of Oregon as part of the Pensole Footwear Design Academy. The program also embarked on an eight week journey that brought it to MTV’s Headquarters in NYC, and online to sneaker-heads in 5 different countries across the globe.

Their new journey begins on Tuesday, July 21st and spans for eight weeks, ending on September 8th. Class is in session once per week (Tuesdays) from 6-8 pm EST, but anyone in the world can still take the course and have access to the video lectures, and course materials and other resources at their convenient time.  The curriculum is based on a variety of topics from the popular OSD Talk Show. Those topics are combined with lesson plans created from the 6 decades of sneaker experience the Sole Doctors possess.

Tuition is $200 for one student, however one student who registers along with one friend or relative makes the cost $100 each. In addition, referrals (if not joining together) take $50 off your tuition.

At the conclusion of the class, students receive a certificate of completion and continued access to business resources and mentors. Perhaps most notably, the program also provides a letter of recommendation to any graduate who applies for a job at a footwear related company (of any kind).

The deadline for registration is Tuesday, July 7th and the deadline for tuition payment is Tuesday, July 14th.
