Anthony Davis Returns To Game After Knee Scare

The Los Angeles Lakers await an update on Anthony Davis after the big man suffered a knee injury in the team’s Sunday night loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Davis appeared to hyperextend his right knee after slipping on a wet spot on the court (video below).

Davis ultimately returned to the game and told the media afterward that he would need to gauge how it felt the next day before determining whether there’s anything significant to be concerned about heading forward.

The knee scare adds to a series of bang ups that Davis has endured throughout his first season with the Lakers. He’s stayed active through all but two games this season but has dealt with a right ankle sprain and sore right shoulder throughout.

Davis and the Lakers don’t return to action until Christmas Day, when the Lakers are scheduled to tip-off against the Los Angeles Clippers.
