According to The Athletic and Stadium’s Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks and guard Jrue Holiday have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth up to $160 million.

The Bucks traded for Holiday last November in a blockbuster move, sending guard Eric Bledsoe, George Hill and an extraordinary amount of draft compensation to the New Orleans Pelicans in an effort to enhance their playmaking.

Particularly important for the Bucks was what Holiday could provide for them in the playoffs, with the veteran averaging 17.0 points per game in the postseason over the course of his career and 23.7 points per game in his last playoff appearance.

This season, Holiday has averaged 17.0 points, 5.4 assists, 4.6 rebounds and a league-high 1.8 steals per game, while shooting .509 percent from the field and .390 percent from 3-point range.

Milwaukee is currently 32-17, third in the Eastern Conference standings.
