Charlotte Bobcats to Reportedly Sign Jannero Pargo

According to the Charlotte Observer, veteran guard Jannero Pargo is headed to the Bobcats. The 33-year old will make Charlotte the seventh team he’s played for in his 8-year NBA career: “He spent portions of this season with the Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks after previous stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Hornets. The Bobcats are expected to sign Pargo to a 10-day contract, after the team lost reserve point guard Ramon Sessions for up to a month with a sprained left knee. Teams are allowed this late in the season to sign a player for up to two 10-day contracts before having to decide whether to keep that player the rest of the season. Pargo is 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds. A Chicago native who played college ball at Arkansas, he has averaged 6.4 points and two assists over his NBA career. With Sessions out, shooting guard Reggie Williams has been filling in some behind Kemba Walker. The concern is Walker’s minutes will expand to a point that he wears down and risks injury.”
