Bad timing for the Mavs… three losses in a row (including Sunday), the Nuggets getting their act together enough to run up the score and make up ground in the Western Conference, and now… Dirk Nowitzki goes down in a nationally televised game when the NBA is on the back burner to March Madness.
In a statement released by the team, Nowitzki said: “I fell awkwardly and my left leg got caught underneath of me. I am going to get re-evaluated in the morning and I hope to have more information then.”
Yeah, but Marc Stein of espn.com – who I believe may also be a blogger, can we get a ruling from the all-important Mark Cuban? – is saying it’s a two-week deal. Looking at the Mavs schedule, there is the big game at Denver on Thursday, but they are done playing the Eastern Conference already.
