Heat Check 2020-21: Detroit Pistons

Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons

Although it isn’t surprising, the Detroit Pistons haven’t been great in the 2020-21 NBA season. Still winless through four games, they will likely be selecting in the lottery of the 2021 NBA Draft.

However, they’ve had some bright spots when it comes to their personnel. Both Jerami Grant and Mason Plumlee got huge contracts this offseason from the Pistons and are being extremely productive thus far. Additionally, Blake Griffin is having solid season coming off of injury. While he should turn it around as the season goes on, Derrick Rose seems to have taken a step back this season offensively.
