by July 21, 2015

The Hickory Hoosiers are about to meet the Indiana Pacers—minus the sharpshooting Jimmy Chitwood. Commemorating the 1986 classic hoops movie Hoosiers, the Pacers will rock the iconic jerseys in a few games this season as a part of the NBA Pride Collection. Pacers GM Larry Bird, a native of French Lick, IN, and former Indiana State Sycamore, had this to say about the decision to wear the Hickory red and gold:

“Our team will be honored to wear the Hickory uniforms because of the attention it will bring to the storied history of Indiana basketball and the success of that movie. Hoosiers takes us all back to a special place and time.”
