Joakim Noah Will Not Play for France in Olympic Games

by July 04, 2012

Chicago Bulls forward Joakim Noah tells L’Equipe that, mostly due to health concerns, he will not be hooping for the French national team at the Olympics this summer. Ball in Europe has the translation: “Team France’s aspirations for Olympic success in 2012 have taken quite a hit, as Joakim Noah announced that he will not after all compete in the London Games with Les Bleus. […] ‘I’m absolutely not ready, not ready to run, not ready to jump. And even less to play. I need more time and work. I’m not in form for someone who wants to compete in the Olympics. And given the problems that I have with my ankles, not going to the Games seemed to be the most reasonable decision.'”
