Josh McRoberts Could Miss the Season With Torn Meniscus

According to Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra, forward Josh McRoberts may not return this season after undergoing right knee surgery this week.

McBob has a lateral meniscus tear. The 27-year old has averaged 4.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists through 17 games so far.

The Heat will be without Chris Bosh Tuesday night in Brooklyn, and Dwyane Wade might also be in street clothes.

Per the Sun-Sentinel:

Coach Erik Spoelstra said Josh McRoberts is out indefinitely after an MRI revealed a lateral meniscus tear on his right knee. He will undergo surgery later this week.

“This will not be a short-term thing,” Spoelstra said. “He’ll be out a while, if he even does make it back this season.”

Center Chris Bosh will not travel with the team due to a calf strain that caused him to miss Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bulls. Also, guard Dwyane Wade is questionable because of a stomach virus. He did not practice Monday.
