Knicks’ Taj Gibson Suffers Sprain Ankle Against Raptors

The New York Knicks get thinner upfront as big man, Taj Gibson will be out with a sprained ankle per the New York Post.

Gibson sprained his ankle in the first half of the New York Knicks’ 104-113 loss against the visiting Toronto Raptors.

Gibson’s injury had forced Knicks rookie Jericho Sims to play in the place of Nerlens Noel ls who has been out for seven straight games.

Coach Tom Thibodeau says he didn’t have a sense of the severity of Gibson’s injury and Noel warmed up and “couldn’t give it a go” according to Fred Katz of the Athletic Reports.

According to Katz, Thibodeau says that Gibson did practice on Tuesday and that both he and Noel, who Thibs says “missed practice for personal reasons,” will travel with the team when they play the Pacers on Wednesday. They’ll both be listed as questionable.
