Kostas Antetokounmpo Will Stay With Lakers on Two-Way Contract

Kostas Antetokounmpo is the younger brother of back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. While he’s got a long way to go to match Giannis’ production, Kostas is still just 23 years old and has shown flashes of potential at 6-foot-10.

After playing in the Lakers organization last season, Shams Charania of The Athletic recently reported that Antetokounmpo has re-signed with Los Angeles on a two-way contract for the 2020-21 NBA season.

Antetokounmpo started in 37 games for the Lakers’ G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers, last season. He was highly productive, averaging 14.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting .623 from the floor. This included ten double-doubles and eight 20+ point performances.

Kostas Antetokounmpo also appeared in five games for the Lakers last season in limited action.
