Kwame Back in Purple & Gold?

by Marcel Mutoni

You thought that he was gone for good, didn’t you Laker fans? Well, think again.

Noted Laker historian Roland Lazenby penned a fascinating article about the Purple & Gold, shedding light on some of the seemingly never-ending drama taking place inside the team’s front-office.

And according to Lazenby’s sources, the Lakers are considering bringing back the much-maligned Kwame Brown.

From HoopsHype:

Faced with a “weird” situation with center Andrew Bynum, the Los Angeles Lakers are toying with the thought of bringing back Kwame Brown, a free agent.

No, this is not a joke.

While it’s no secret that the Lakers are in desperate need of inside defense and rebounding (the Celtics made sure of that this past June), is Kwame the answer? That was a rhetorical question; don’t waste your time answering it.

Unless, of course, the idea here is to convince Brown to just play on one end of the court (the defensive one, where his hands of stone aren’t too big an issue.) In which case, make the deal Mr. Kupchak.
