LA Clippers Re-Sign Glen ‘Big Baby’ Davis to 1-Year Deal

Glen “Big Baby” Davis is returning to LA on a one-year, veteran minimum contract of $1.2 million. Davis (who’s wallet is taking a hit) put up 4.2 points and 3 rebounds in 13.4 minutes per game during the regular season for the Clippers, and posted 3.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.2 minutes during the playoffs. Per the LA Times:

Davis opted out of his contract in June that would have paid him $1.4 million for the 2014-15 season, looking for a bigger payday and longer contract that never came.

But the official said Davis wanted to return to the Clippers “in the best shape” of his six-year career so that the 6-9 forward could help give the team another quality big man off the bench.

Davis signed with the Clippers on Feb. 24 after the Orlando Magic bought him out of his contract that was paying him $6 million last season and had $6.6 million left on the deal for next season.
