You just knew that it was only a matter of time before reporters wrangled a reaction out of LeBron James following DeShawn Stevenson’s diss last week.
Naturally, James compared himself to Jay-Z – Dude, we get it already: You’re friends with the guy. It’s been noted – and referred to Stevenson as someone who I’m not entirely sure should even be considered a musician to begin with:
James said: “With DeShawn Stevenson, it’s kind of funny. It’s almost like Jay-Z [responding to a negative comment] made by Soulja Boy. It doesn’t make sense.”
Ouch.
Getting (metaphorically) dismissed as nothing more than a kid whose entire musical career will most likely only be remembered for one mindless hit and a taste for funny-looking sunglasses has got to sting.
I can only hope that this leads to some kind of freestyle battle on 106&Park to settle the beef once and for all.
