Lonzo Ball On Guarding LaMelo in the NBA: ‘I Know His Game Pretty Well’

LaMelo Ball is the youngest of three brothers who have made it to the NBA in some capacity after being drafted No. 3 overall in last week’s draft. His oldest brother, Lonzo, plays for the New Orleans Pelicans and is already being asked about what it will be like when him and his brother face off for the first time.

As a guest several months back on The Old Man And The Three podcast with JJ Reddick, Lonzo gave his thoughts on what he expects in their first NBA matchup. He didn’t sound too worried about guarding his youngest brother, saying, “I know his game pretty well, so it might be a tough night for him.”

Lonzo is certainly known for his perimeter defense. On top of that, he’s been playing against LaMelo all his life. It will be one of the most anticipated individual matchups of the entire 2020-21 season when the Pelicans and Hornets match up.

LaMelo is projected to be a prolific offensive player, but Lonzo plans on making his life tough when they cross paths.
