Miami Heat Fans Deface LeBron James’ Image on Mural (PHOTO)

The old joke about Miami Heat fans is that they don’t exist, since most of them seem to have materialized four years ago when LeBron James took up residence in South Beach. Now that LeBron’s gone back home to Cleveland, angry Heat supporters — lacking the class shown by the team’s owner — wrecked an image of James on a mural that was painted in Miami with painstaking care. (Like Cavs fans back in 2010, Miami fans are also burning their no.6 James jerseys.) Per WPLG Local 10:

An image of the former Heat superstar was painted over shortly after James made his future plans

Only LeBron’s face was defaced in a mural, which is located at Northeast 29th Street between Miami Avenue and 1st Avenue, that also includes members of the Heat/s 2012 NBA championship team.

Artist Serge Toussaint spent two years creating the mural, but it’s not known if he has been made aware of his work being painted over.
