‘Nique Likes Atlanta’s Chances Against Boston

by Marcel Mutoni

Ladies and germs, the Crazy Train is about to leave the station. All aboard!

Dominique Wilkins, who as a VP in the Hawks organization, I suppose is paid to say these sorts of things, has confidence in his beloved (and woefully mismatched Atlanta Hawks) as they prepare to be swept face the League’s best team in the first round of the Playoffs.

“We played Boston well up to [last Saturday]. It will be a nice matchup for us. We know they’re focused. We know they’re trying to get to the championship.

“It’s a chance for us to do what Golden State did last year to Dallas. Anything can happen in the playoffs.”

Why, ‘Nique, are you planning on suiting up? Because that’d be about the only chance your Hawks have of making this a series.

As amazing as a Hawks upset would be, the fact remains that only twice in the last 15 years has a number one seed been knocked out in the first round. History may repeat itself, but it won’t this year.
