Obama’s Inauguration: Kind of a Big Deal in the NBA

Tomorrow will be a historic day. It’s a day that will mean so much to so many people. Including NBA players, coaches, and League personnel.

The Wiz are bummed out since despite being Washington-based, they won’t get to witness it in person; Boston is altering its travel plans so as not to miss the television coverage; and if he has to, Andre Miller is ready to skip practice.

The Sixers’ point guard says there are more important things on his agenda tomorrow that running team drills. From the Delco Times (via: CSTB):

They probably won’t practice Tuesday, but if they do, Andre Miller won’t be there.

“There’s a good chance (we’ll be off), but I’m not going to jump to conclusions,” he said. “But I’m going, so …”
