Pacers Trade Brandon Rush to Warriors for Lou Amundson

After missing out on the Chris Paul sweepstakes, the Warriors have apparently settled for a less-heralded vet to add backcourt depth, acquiring Brandon Rush from the Pacers. SI.com‘s Sam Amick has the details: “The Indiana Pacers have agreed to send shooting guard Brandon Rush to Golden State in exchange for forward Lou Amundson, sources confirmed to SI.com. The trade, which is expected to be finalized on Monday and was first reported by the Bay Area News Group, would give the Warriors some badly-needed veteran depth behind guards Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry while giving the Pacers the kind of hardworking forward they were looking for. The Pacers recently signed two-time All-Star David West as well as second-year bruiser Jeff Pendergraph to play with incumbent forward Tyler Hansbrough. But Pendergraph—who was drafted 31st overall by Sacramento in 2009 but missed all of last season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee—recently sprained the same knee and is still on the mend.”
