Pat Garrity Calls it a Career

by Marcel Mutoni

Pat Garrity, the Orlando Magic’s longest tenured player, has retired. Brought over in the Penny Hardaway trade in 1999, Garrity played 513 regular season games in a Magic uniform, the second most in club history.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

“After 10 wonderful years of playing in the NBA, I have decided to retire,” said Garrity. “I am so grateful for being able to play for as long as I have and to have established long lasting roots in Orlando.”

For his career, Pat averaged 7.3 ppg and shot nearly 40% from behind the arc.

Incredibly, even the earth-bound Garrity has a You Tube mix of the greatest dunks from his career.

Not so surprisingly, said highlight package contains but a single jam, the hair-raising poster job on Samuel Dalembert.
