Pistons to Sign Mason Plumlee to Three-Year Deal

The Detroit Pistons have agreed to sign Mason Plumlee to a three-year, $25 million deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Plumlee will join the rebuilding squad after three and a half seasons with Denver.

The Pistons will sign Plumlee into their cap space but the addition could put their ability to sign other free agents in jeopardy unless something else develops.

ESPN’s Bobby Marks reports that Detroit had about $10 million in cap space prior to free agency. The Pistons would need to use that space to sign Wood given that they don’t have his Bird rights.

Plumlee has been a familiar face on a solid Nuggets team for a few years now but will now ply his trade for a rebuilding Pistons team.

More to come.
