Player of the D.A.Y.

By Sam Rubenstein

I’ve been flip flopping on today’s pick like David Stern on the basketball. Is it Wade for his 37 against Bosh-less Toronto? Is it Vince for his 37 against Pau-less Memphis? Amare or Nash for what they keep doing to everything in their path? I’ve been too Suns-centric at times. Boozer for his performance vs. the Mavs to give Sloan victory #1,000? So many choices.

Do I do another unprecedented move out of the box? Give it to Billy Hunter for winning his battle with Sternbot? Sloan for his thousandth win? I haven’t been doing this long enough to break away from the routine so easily. It will lighten the impact of my big decisions like the Nash-Kidd split.

Okay, so here it is. A cop out. In honor of Stern backing down and appeasing the masses with the Coca Cola Classic ball, I will cop out as well.

Player of the D.A.Y. is Chris Paul for his 30 and 11 game in LeBron’s building.
