Post Up: Bucks Dominate the Hawks In Game 2 and Even the Series

After the Los Angeles Clippers finally broke through with their first win of the Western Conference Finals series, the Milwaukee Bucks tried to get their first win after a shocking upset loss to the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 to even the series.

No. 3 Milwaukee Bucks 125, No. 5 Atlanta Hawks 91

Series tied 1-1

After the Bucks lost to the Hawks in Game 1, the story was all about stopping Trae Young after his 48 points and 11 assists masterpiece. Even Inside the NBA’s Shaquille O’Neal was fired up when debating about it with Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith.

The Bucks rolled out a defensive scheme full of adjustments to slow Ice Trae to the point the Hawks’ offense was seemingly frozen. Trae Young came back to Earth with 15 points (6-16 shooting) and 9 turnovers as the Bucks put together a 43 point second quarter to put the game away.

The combination of the big men moving their defensive support in the pick and roll from the paint to the 3 point line forced numerous turnovers that got the fast break rolling for Milwaukee.

Giannis Antetokounmpo put on a post-move clinic scoring 25 points while Jrue Holiday had 22 points with much-improved defense to spearhead a better overall performance for the Bucks.

Game 3 is set to take place on Sunday in Atlanta.
