Post Up: Nuggets Cruise

by Adam Figman | @afigman

Denver 121, Indiana 107

With the ever-swirling trade rumors hitting a (very appreciated) lull the past few days, the Denver Nuggets, or more specifically, Carmelo Anthony, should now be able to put that nonsense to the side and focus on, you know, basketball. Behind Melo’s 36, the Nugs came out strong and went on cruise control during the middle two quarters, defeating the Pacers with ease. Denver has now won five of seven (with the two losses coming at the hands of the elite: the Spurs and the Lakers), while Indiana has been sliding the opposite direction, dropping their fifth straight last night. For the Pacers, Tyler Bro-Hands put up a 27 and 10 double-double, while Paul George dropped a respectable 17 points.

Actual Stats: Carmelo Anthony: 36 points, 8 rebounds, 6 three-pointers, 1 assist, 1 block

Moment of the Night: No reason to avoid the truth: Everybody was watching football yesterday. It’s all good. Pigskin fans get one more day in a couple weeks, and from there out it’s all hoops everything, just the way God intended. Anyway, Packers-Steelers. Early predictions?
