Prices for Hawks Tickets Suggest Trae is the Next Stephen When it Comes to Demand

Comparisons between Steph Curry and Trae Young have been made for years. Trae himself has even said he will surpass Curry as the League’s best shooter. While that remains to be seen, with this playoff run, Young has certainly opened some eyes. The ticket market has also taken notice, and the Hawks have the highest demand among remaining NBA playoff teams.

Ticket prices for Hawks home games are some of the most expensive we’ve ever seen, surpassed only by, you guessed it, Steph Curry and his Golden State Warriors.

Where To Buy Atlanta Hawks Eastern Conference Finals Tickets?

Primary market face-value tickets for Hawks Eastern Conference Finals home games are available via Ticketmaster. Inventory is limited, but tickets are still available for games 3 and 4. Excluding a handful of lower-level seats for game 4, only upper-level seats in the 200’s sections are available.

On the secondary market, TicketIQ has Fee-Free tickets for the Atlanta Hawks, and all remaining NBA Playoff games. The company also provides a Refund Guarantee, which states that if an event is canceled or deem unfit for fans to attend, they will refund ticket buyers in as soon as 15 days. With no added fees, customers on TicketIQ save between 15%-25% compared to other secondary market ticketing sites.

How Much Are Atlanta Hawks Eastern Conference Finals Tickets?

According to TicketIQ, the secondary market average price for Hawks Eastern Conference Finals tickets is $932. That makes it the 3rd most expensive since TicketIQ started tracking that data in 2011. The only teams that have had a higher average price for a Conference Finals series are Steph’s 2018 and 2019 Warriors teams, who had average prices of $1,200 and $1,023 respectively.

The cheapest tickets for game 3, 4, and 6 are all north of $240, which significantly higher than those Warriors team’s. The cheapest tickets in 2018 and 2019 were under $175.

Below is an infographic showing the top 5 Conference Finals average prices since 2011:

When the Warriors went to the NB Finals in 2018, the average ticket price was $1,720. Ticket prices ballooned to $3,445 in 2019 when they faced the Toronto Raptors, and we could see a similar average price this year if the Hawks beat the Bucks.

As of now, there are only a handful of Hawks NBA Finals tickets listed on the secondary market, and the average price is over $4,200. Prices will go down with more inventory, but don’t be surprised to see an average price of more than $3,000 and potentially even challenging the Warriors 2019 number. With the 2021 Phoenix Suns also making the top 5 conference finals list above, we may be heading to one of the most expensive NBA Finals we’ve ever seen.
